As we begin this new year, we all face challenges within our respective organizations. As I speak to our customers, the issue at the forefront for our customers is how to capitalize on their human capital to remain competitive in their marketplace.
In the last newsletter, we discussed Sage’s announcement that Abra Suite would no longer be supported after the third quarter of 2020. For current Abra Suite users, this means that they must have migrated to another solution by the end of the 4th quarter of 2020, since there will be no year-end update. Without the year end update, users, customers will not be able to process W-2s or ACA reporting in 2021. So, where does that leave Abra Suite customers?
According to the 2014 Global Workforce Study conducted by Towers Watson, four out of 10 employees are disengaged. Some of the reasons they are unmotivated are pay, industry, management and company culture. It is in every company’s interest to have motivated employees. In sales situations that can be high-pressure in nature, ensuring that sales reps are locked in and engaged is one of the sales manager’s most necessary tasks.
There’s no doubt that now is the time to upgrade your organization to Windows 10: Microsoft will end technical assistance and no longer provide security updates for Windows 7 from January 14, 2020 onward. The clock is also ticking on Windows 8, with Microsoft set to discontinue all support and security updates in January 2023.
