Success at Net at Work’s First Annual Women at Work Luncheon!
We are so pleased to see the positive feedback pouring in after our first annual Women at Work Luncheon. Women at Work promotes Net at Work’s growth through the attraction, retention and advancement of its members and other talented women in the workforce. We strive to make Net at Work a place where exceptional women have exceptional careers.
One of our highest priorities is the relationships we have with our clients – this event proved to be an excellent opportunity to connect and enrich our existing relationships while starting new ones. We are proud to be in the company of clients and partners who so clearly value to the advancement of women in the workplace.
Inspired by International Women’s Day and their annual theme of Balance, our luncheon theme also focused on balance – classic work/life balance as well as balance between the genders. We highlighted the importance of and illustrated how both men and women can better support the advancement and retention of women in their organizations. Our keynote speaker was Jeffery Tobias Halter who is the former Director of Diversity Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company, and who has consulted with leading brands including Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Deloitte, Citigroup, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Moet Hennessy and more.
We also featured a lively executive panel which was inspiring and educational. Our participants included:
Adi Eckhouse Barzilai, the Co-Founder & CEO at Realface (acquired by Apple). She is an experienced Entrepreneur, CEO and marketing executive with 10 years of marketing and business development experience from top consumer goods companies (P&G) and large public corporations (Syneron Medical/Unilever) to founding and selling a technology company.
Leslie Grossman, who is a leadership strategist, speaker, coach and author. She has dedicated 25 years to helping CEOs, women leaders, executives and business owners reach their goals and achieve success. As a Chair of Vistage International, Grossman facilitates and coaches advisory boards and peer groups. She is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at the George Washington University: Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, and on the Faculty of the Impact Leadership 21: Emerging Global Leaders Academy.
And finally Nancy Brown, who is a CPA with more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience and serves as a Managing Partner of CLA’s Consulting and Accounting Solutions Team (CAST). Nancy serves as the Treasurer for Women Executives and serves on the Harris YMCA Board of Advisors as its Board Chairperson, leading its Executive Committee and serving on the Finance Committee.
We are eager to repeat the success of our first annual Women at Work Luncheon and look forward to having this as an opportunity to connect in a meaningful and important way with our clients and partners. As was so elegantly presented by Mr. Halter during his keynote, advancing women results in increased financial performance, profitability and value creation. This initiative represents yet another way to unleash the potential of our clients’ business. Join us next year as we shatter limits and kick some glass!
