Irvine, Calif. (August 1, 2005) – Sage Software today announced that registration is now open for its first ever combined user conference, Sage Summit, scheduled to take place November 2-5, 2005 in San Diego. This will be the first time that customer conferences across the company’s North American product lines will be combined into a unified 3-day event for attendees to network, gain insight to better utilize their software and hear about industry and business trends affecting their organizations.

The conference will open with a keynote from Dr. Stephen Covey, the renowned author of ‘The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People.” Also the co-founder/vice-chairman of Franklin Covey Company, a leading global professional services firm, Dr. Covey is an internationally respected leadership authority, family expert, teacher, and organizational consultant. He was recently recognized as one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential Americans and one of the top 25 power brokers by Sales and Marketing Management.

The conference will deliver industry and business management focused tracks in a range of areas including manufacturing, nonprofits, construction and real estate, human resources, CRM, accounting and financial management and others. The tracks are supported by select media partners from across the various industries and focus areas, who will share their insights during keynote sessions. Current participating media sponsors include: 1 to 1, BNA Payroll Administrative Guide, ENR, HR Magazine, Inc., Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Property Management, Manufacturing Business Technology and the NonProfit Times.

Open to the more than 2.4 million small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) in the U.S. and Canada who use Sage Software products, the 3-day Sage Summit conference combines the company’s three previous customer conferences focused on Timberline Office, CPASoftware, and MIP software, and adds conference agendas incorporating other products in the Sage Software family such as MAS 90, ACCPAC, SalesLogix, and more than a dozen others.

“Sage customers represent a wide-ranging set of small and mid-sized businesses whose successes are an invaluable source of shared knowledge across industries,” said Ron Verni, President and CEO, Sage Software. “Sage Summit offers an exceptional opportunity for our customers to network, share their insights, and learn about their software systems as well as business and industry trends. It is a key part of our commitment to helping our customers develop even more successful businesses.”

Using a ‘conference within a conference’ format for the expected 3000 attendees, Sage Summit is designed to preserve the experience of community for customers while also providing them the opportunity to engage with a wide range of Sage product users from a variety of industries. Session tracks will be broken out by business needs and industries rather than specific products, so customers will have the opportunity to learn about relevant issues impacting their industry segment and explore other software tools to improve their organizations’ management in addition to learning how to get better ROI from their current software.

In addition to educational sessions, attendees will have access to hands-on product activities in a lab environment, including the Sage Summit Support Center, where they will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with customer support analysts and technical support experts. A limited number of 30-minute time slots are available at the Support Center each day and can be reserved during registration.

The conference also will include a trade show exhibition, featuring hundreds of experts, solution developers, and service providers offering tips and tools to assist attending customers. At the trade show, visitors will be able to exchange ideas with experts in a variety of areas as well as explore an array of technologies and solutions to help improve productivity and internal processes.

Registration is currently open for preferred exhibitors, and will open in mid-August for new exhibitors. For more information, please visit www.summitcustomerconference.com/exhibitors.
