The End of ERP

Exciting things happen at Sage Summit. At last year’s Sage Summit, Sage CEO Stephen Kelly announced the end of ERP. At this year’s Sage Summit, Sage launched the new Sage X3 cloud release Update 10, available this month for cloud customers. The next cloud and on-premises version of Sage X3 is slated for February 2017.

Last year’s Sage X3 product update resulted in more than 29% customer base growth globally, since X3 enabled mid-sized companies to dramatically cut the cost and complexity of ERP which Stephen Kelly refers to as Expense, Regret, and Pain. He stated that Sage is committed to building products that add value to its customers. Sage X3 has been a proof of this commitment, the software has continued to deliver simpler, faster, and more flexible business management to mid-sized companies.

New Update, New Beginning

Greater functionality can be expected from the new Sage X3 Update 10. The update will further enhance users experience with improvements to the finance, distribution, manufacturing modules and the mobile and browser interface.

Sage is also partnering with cloud eCommerce solution provider, XM Developments to deliver engaging and personalized shopping experiences on mobile devices. The new connector for Salesforce CRM Enterprise Edition will also boost Sage’s integrated cloud distribution. With partnership like this, a fast growing ecosystem of complementary cloud applications integrated with X3 is definite.

The set of functionality the new Sage X3 eCommerce solution will provide in the mid-sized enterprise market is exceptional. The solution will bring integrations with payment processing platforms, keep webstore information up to date, and help boost sales.

Another new feature of X3 is its cloud people solution which uses technologies by Fairsail, a global cloud HR management solution built on the Salesforce App Cloud. The cloud people solution which enables companies to manage their HR services in the cloud will connect with Fairsail payroll solutions and other financial platforms to help organizations better manage their business and workforces.

David Krauss, Global Vice President of Product Marketing for Sage’s enterprise cloud solutions stated that the Sage X3 partnership with Fairsail sums up what Sage is doing, “providing customers with simple access to the best possible functionality available in the industry to run their business faster, on one, cohesive enterprise cloud business management platform.”
