Determining what data files feed a particular Sage 100 report
It could be helpful at times to know where the data on a Sage 100 report is actually coming from, e.g. for analysis purposes, custom reporting, etc.:
- Leverage UDF (user-defined field) Maintenance in Custom Office (Main menu), assuming you have access.
- As follows, act as if creating a Bus Obj UDF for the applicable work file (e.g. Inventory Valuation Report = IM Valuation Report Work / IM_ValuationReportWrk), or if not sure you can open the Crystal Reports report .rpt file (if you have Crystal installed).
- Drill into the report item.
- Click + sign on right-side.
- Type anything for Field Name.
- Click the Data Source drop-down to see the list of data files.
- Then just Cancel all the way out.
