Net at Work values our clients and loves to build partnerships and success together.  We are always looking for ways that we can support our clients, and this month we would like to highlight the amazing work that OLV Human Services is doing!

The head office for OLV Human Services is in Lackawanna, New York, just a few miles from the shores of Lake Erie.  OLV is one of the region’s largest and most comprehensive community based non-profit social service agencies, started over 160 years ago by the compassion of Father Nelson Baker.  Nelson Baker was ordained in 1876 and, horrified after reading stories about infant bones being dredged out of the Erie Canal, he opened the OLV Infant Home in 1908 and provided sanctuary for unwed mothers and babies.  Father Baker’s City of Charity grew from there, in no small part due to his fundraising efforts, his innovation, and drilling for natural gas on the property!  Read the complete story about the venerable Nelson Baker here and understand why he was a hero until the end.

There are still heroes at OLV Human Services today, providing residential services, education, community-based services, dental services and most recently opened a new Evaluation and Treatment Center for early childhood evaluations.   But OLV is not only for children.  OLV is committed to providing Trauma Informed Care for individuals of all ages, serving those with interpersonal, emotional, psychiatric, social, family or educational issues.  There are just too many areas of service to mention all of them, so click on the links and browse the OLV Human Services website for yourself!  Learn how the values of Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Adaptability, and Accountability contribute to the success of OLV Human Services in emphasizing empowerment, connection and collaboration in all their care services.

When OLV Human Services decided that they had outgrown their legacy solution they choose Sage Intacct and Net at Work to partner with them on their digital transformation journey. The size and specificity of OLV’s business meant many months of collaboration between the Net at Work and OLV projects teams, leading to a successful launch in February 2024.  Post launch our teams continue to work together to expand the use of and ensure the system is doing exactly what OLV needs it to do!  Improvements are happening all the time!
