2024 Release 2: Arrived May 10

Hello Net at Work’ers! Welcome to our R2 Release notes customer update. Listed here are some of the highlights from the R2 Release pack that was installed in your environment automatically on May 12th. While there are typically around fifty feature updates per release, not all of them are going to be applicable to all clients. That is why each quarter we bring a customized webinar and Newsletter to help sift through these upgrades to areas that are going to be instantly applicable for you. This quarter we saw impressive updates to project reporting functionality, new compliance products, and some ease-of-use upgrades that should help with efficiency and accountability.

  • The first update we will look at is centered around the Sage Intelligent Time product. It is a free feature that has been rolled out to all Project/Grants Tracking and Billing customers. Previously, it was an external product that we would have to manage outside of our Intacct environment and became another password to manage. This is no longer the case, with the updates to Intelligent Time we can now access AI created timesheets that will integrate with your web-based calendars and email platforms to help reduce and automate the most dreaded of all corporate tasks…the timesheet! Contact us to see how this product can be utilized in your environment.
  • Our second update another product release centered around reporting capabilities, compliance assistance, business model trajectories, prioritized actions, and tighten internal controls with the PWC Control Insights for Sage Intacct. For years the Insights platform from PWC has helped controllers and C Suite level executives gain actionable insights to deliver a competitive edge in the market. This functionality will now be rolled out to a larger customer base through the integration into Sage Intacct. Whether it’s helping with pre-packaged audit ready financials, dashboards for environmental health assessments, or in-system recommendations about how changing your Sage Intacct environmental deployment could help your bottom line, PWC Control Insights is an exciting addition to the Sage Intacct ecosystem!
  • Finally, the ease of use adjustment we are seeing this quarter have been some long-awaited additions to the software:
    • The function of printing singular reports per project was something that clients were forced to hard-code reports with project values and send via auto-scheduler to achieve a financial report package per project. This is now solved with the “Run as Individual Report” option now on your filters page.
    • For anyone using Blanket Order functionality inside of the Purchasing module, we now have the potential to use the Quantity as the true Quantity instead of having to place the Extended Price in that feature to do partial conversions. Again, not a huge operational shift there, but an ease of use addition that all Purchasing folks had been looking forward too.
    • Lastly, Transaction Allocations are now available in the Time and Expense module for Expense Reports. Time and Expense was one of the last areas we didn’t have access to Transaction Allocations, so this is another helpful addition to the module.
