NFP at Work – December 2016
Keeping You Up-To-Date With Information About Nonprofit Solutions
A Note from the Team Leader
Welcome to our year-end issue of the NFP at Work newsletter. The end of the calendar year is generally a flurry of activity with a push to finish tasks and meet deadlines while balancing a reduced staffing level due to holiday activities. It is also a great time to assess your organization’s financial performance and take on mid-year projects. With this timing in mind, Abila is currently offering a discount on the purchase of additional modules through December 23rd. Please contact us or your account manager to find out how you can take advantage of this opportunity to add additional functionality to your MIP system.
December is also a time to plan for the coming year. The Abila AUDC conference will be held from April 11 to April 13 in Nashville next year and promises to be better than ever. As an added incentive, we are able to offer our clients $25 off the registration fee if you use the code BP25 on your registration. I am excited to be joining the AUDC conference as a session presenter on the topic of linking your fundraising and accounting systems. Please do let us know if you will be attending. Net at Work will be hosting a special reception at AUDC for our clients and we’d love to have you with us!
Year End Reporting
As you may be aware, beginning in 2017 for 2016 payments, the IRS has moved up the filing date for 1099 reporting. The reporting date to the IRS will now be the same as the due date for the forms to be issued to recipients, January 31. Please see our article from William Skody, Partner at Skody Scot and Company, CPAs for more information and tips on how to determine which payees require a 1099.
To assist our clients in preparing Forms 1099 and W-2 from Abila MIP, we are offering a free webinar on the topic on two different dates, December 20, 2016 and January 10, 2017. You can register below and join us for one of these sessions.
