Do You Need a Learning Management System? Have You Considered All of the Use Cases?

We recently asked our partners at dialogEDU for what they see are the typical use cases for their clients.  Some of them may surprise you!

Onboarding New Employees

To ensure that a client onboards new employees in a consistent and efficient manner, new hires worldwide can complete the exact same courses and participate in live trainings regardless of location. Using dialogEDU’s central repository of learning objects, administrators can be efficient, making updates to one course and having learners worldwide access the updated material. In addition, managers can have new hires trained through a self-directed process in the learning management platform, realizing efficiencies in time management.

Professional & Leadership Development

Training employees to become knowledgeable about their industry is critical to a company’s growth. Offering professional development and leadership courses in dialogEDU provides a great way for managers to track their employees’ progress in completing courses. Employees can earn badges and certificates for completing milestones and grades and completions can pass back to employees’ HR files.

Annual Competency Training

An effective tool to conduct annual competency training is core to management of many companies. Clients, together, with dialogEDU can develop competency assessments utilizing the various learning tools of the platform and created a standard, automated process allowing for the effective assessment and re-assessment of staff on an annual basis.

Sales Training

Use dialogEDU to bring together your sales team’s favorite sales tools and content. The Smart Digital Repository allows in-house and 3rd party publisher content to be housed in the same centralized location. Sales Trainers can build courses combining a variety of learning assets choosing from their favorite publishers, while supplementing with in-house trainings. Providing creative ways to assess learning through dialogEDU rounds out the sales team’s learning experience.

Continuing Education and Certifications

Through dialogEDU, clients can offer Continuing Education courses and Certifications to their internal staff. Employees can easily access courses and certification programs that can help them progress in their employment and help them learn specific skill sets. These milestones can then be shared with HR and can be helpful for reviews and promotions.

Compliance Training

Understanding and complying to required policy and procedure is extremely important in the workplace. Through dialogEDU, employees can be informed of required compliance courses and take them within the specified timeframe. Reminders can be set to help employees know deadlines and completed courses can be automatically uploaded into employees’ HR files.

Change and Transition Training

Clients use a learning management system to manage change effectively by using the platform to train and educate its staff on transitions. Using the robust LMS’s reporting capabilities, administrators track training and completion data, eliminating the need to manage the task manually.

New Product/Services Training

dialogEDU can be very effective in offering new products or services training through the platform. This allows employees and clients the ability to learn and prove their skills and competency with any new product/feature.

B2B and B2C Ecommerce

Using a B2B and B2C ecommerce solution in dialogEDU makes selling courses and programs in dialogEDU very easy. Clients (Customers and/or Businesses) worldwide can purchase courses and/or programs in dialogEDU and enroll immediately. Discounts and promotional codes can be used to target specific audiences with special pricing. The email engine can be used to advertise and promote courses to segments of a client’s population.

Hosting Events, Seminars and Conferences

The dialogEDU technology can be used to create a complete world of digital conferences, seminars and events. Supplement the schedule with sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and vendors for a complete conference experience. Live stream by incorporating Vimeo, YouTube Live, Zoom, or other favorite synchronous technologies. Limitless capacity can scale to unlimited attendees from anywhere, across the globe.

Enhanced Communication

Regular standing meetings in a company may occur in the conference room, however, using a webinar tool plug-in, the live meetings can be recorded and made available through dialogEDU for those who are unable to attend. Supplemental content, in addition to meeting minutes, can be uploaded to the platform easily creating a seamless way for staff to access important information.

Prior to the implementation of dialogEDU, clients often may use email as a path for distributing important information (compliance and other) which is not effective. Now, they can use the dialogEDU technology to centralize and easily locate information. The platform can be used as an end-to-end solution for updated department news and compliance information. The information relies on the targeting feature of the technology to provide appropriate content to specific segments of the department’s population, thereby enabling visibility only to those for whom the communication is targeted.

Building Social/Professional Communities

A Client uses the Forums feature in dialogEDU to gather staff together digitally to communicate electronically on topics of importance and sharing of best-practices. Online forums can also be targeted so that only a segment of the staff can access and contribute to topics, and likewise, topics can be available for the entire department and among a variety of departments.

Digital communication keeps employees interacting together as professional groups, and/or facilitating interdepartmental teams. All groups in a company benefit from sharing best practices, attending digital meetings and exchanging content and articles.
