Sage Abra Suite HRMS End of Life and Migration Plan

By: | Category: Employee Experience

In June, Sage announced the retirement of Sage Abra Suite. For more than 30 years, Abra HR and Payroll have been running on Microsoft’s Visual FoxPro (VFP) database. When Microsoft announced the end of life for FoxPro in 2010 and ended all support in 2015, we knew Abra would follow suit. Now we know the date—September 2020.

After this final release, Sage will no longer provide support for Sage Abra Suite, and you will no longer receive the following: Software updates, Security fixes, Tax updates, & Legislative updates.

If your invested in Sage Abra and have trusted Sage to manage your people and payroll for years, then make the most of that investment by migrating to Sage HRMS – the next generation of HRMS software from Sage.

It’s fully customizable, either self-hosted or in the cloud. With end-to-end, web-based paperless service delivery, Sage HRMS provides you with a complete solution for managing the entire employee life cycle.

And there’s only one recognized path to migrate from Abra Suite to Sage HRMS – Automated SQL Migration (ASM) – endorsed by Sage Software in 2015.

The ASM will migrate your HR and Payroll from Abra to Sage HRMS, including all your payroll history.

Using ASM, we can get you up and running on Sage HRMS quickly. In many cases, in as little as 90 days. And fixed fee implementations are available.
